It is internationally known as WEA International Inc. , will promote responsible fatherhood by recognizing and rewarding the acts of good fathers in five cities across the nation on the weekend of June 7-8.

The Golden Dads Campaign was inspired by the Rendezvous Entertainment album, "Golden Slumbers: A Father's Lullaby," a collection of classic and unexpected lullabies made especially for fathers and their children, featuring the Grammy-nominated performances of Dave Koz and Jeff Koz. "Golden Slumbers" is a 2003 Parents' Choice award winner. The Koz brothers will also receive a 2003 Fatherhood Award from NFI at the 6th National Summit on Fatherhood in Philadelphia on June 12.

100 Golden Dads will be awarded in Los Angeles, along with 100 fathers in each of the following cities: Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., for a total of 500 Golden Dads across the country. Fathers who are spotted being Golden Dads will receive an exclusive Milton Glaser-designed button, a CD sampler of "Golden Slumbers," an informational brochure from NFI, and gift certificates for Auntie Anne's pretzels.

To help bring this celebration of fatherhood to the entire city, the Mayor of Los Angeles, James K. Hahn, has officially proclaimed the weekend "Golden Dads Weekend."

The Golden Dads Campaign was launched at a Los Angeles press conference on June 4, where celebrity fathers, including Jason Alexander, Stephen Collins, Randy Jackson, Alan Thicke and Tony Plana, were awarded for their exemplary work in promoting involved, responsible and committed fatherhood.
