Dave 'n' Vick's tricks for staying hitched; Polly.Byline: polly hudson POSH and Becks Posh and Becks is the nickname for the British celebrity couple David Beckham (a leading footballer) and Victoria Beckham (formerly Victoria Adams and a member of the now-reformed Spice Girls nicknamed "Posh Spice"). have been married for a decade on Saturday. And bear in mind that's about 12 centuries in human - aka non-celebrity - years. It should really be a national holiday, shouldn't it? Especially seeing as Americans have been celebrating every fourth of July Fourth of July, Independence Day, or July Fourth, U.S. holiday, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Celebration of it began during the American Revolution. for years now, and Posh and Becks have only lived there for a bit. Sort it out, Liz! As this incredibly important occasion approaches obviously there's something we're all - as a nation - wondering. Just HOW have the Beckhams succeeded where so many other celebrity couples have failed? And are there any tricks to a well-wicked wedlock that we can nick off them? I reckon so. Here's five things I've learnt about marriage from Vicky and Dave: 1 Try to spend as much time in different countries as possible. She's in London while he's in LA. He's in Madrid while she's in New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of . Notice a pattern there? Spending time together's for losers - absence makes the marriage go longer. 2 Forgiveness is a two-way street Becks forgave Posh for joking that he sometimes borrowed her knickers and revealing his Goldenballs nickname. She returned the favour by pretending Rebecca Loos was invisible and mute. 3 The thought don't count for s** t. Vic has Hermes Birkin bags in every colour - including one that cost over pounds 80,000. Little gifts like this show Posh how much Dave loves her, so she feels more secure, and is less likely to sweat the small stuff Sweat the Small Stuff is a standup comedy special performed by Kevin James of King of Queens. It has been seen on Comedy Central and released on DVD. Kevin performs hilarious standup on various subjects based on annoyances of everyday life, hence the title. . 4 If you can't say anything nice... ...Just stand next to your spouse and smile supportively. You know, like Posh did when David signed up to play something called soccer for a team named after a chocolate bar. And like David, when Posh made him have his photo taken with Dane Bowers. And when he heard Not Such An Innocent Girl for the first time. Oh, and probably when he saw the results of the last but one boob job boob job A popular term for breast augmentation, see there too. 5 Always be supportive of fashion experimentation The true test of love isn't whether you can overcome infidelity, it's can you stay with a man who wears a little skirt on holiday. (See also: everything she wore during her lip ring phase.) This rule obviously extends to hair - and remember, always compliment your loved one, as in "Oh David, your hair looks mayjah today."
