The Birmingham-born heavyweight will be pulling a double decker bus in a stunt to mark Macmillan Cancer Support's annual fund-raising event. It was previously known as Hall Green College. bus. Dave and Coun Wilkes will be joining thousands of other people across the West Midlands West Midlands, former metropolitan county, central England. Created in the 1974 local government reorganization, the county embraced the Birmingham conurbation and comprised seven metropolitan districts: Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham, Solihull, who have their coffee cups at the ready to help make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer. Regional organisers are urging as many people as possible to take part and make every cup count by inviting friends, family and work colleagues to get together for a cuppa cup·pa n. Around 2,000 events have already been planned across the region and Macmillan area fundraising manager Steve Dourass said former World's Strongest Man Dave was a "credit to the community". He said: "With Dave donating his time to create a real spectacle for Macmillan on our coffee morning day, more and more people living with cancer will benefit from the incredible range of support that we provide. Dave's challenge will take place on Edgbaston Street between 11.30am-1pm on Friday and visitors will have a chance to enjoy a 'dry' coffee morning as sachets of coffee are being distributed for a donation to Macmillan.
