Daughters' emotional tribute.


Richard Fothergill Fothergill is a surname, thought to have come from the meaning 'Further river' and may refer to the following:
  • Arnold Fothergill (1854–1932), English cricketer
  • Bob Fothergill (1897–1938), American baseball player
, 67, and his wife Angela, 65, lived in Grenville Drive, Gosforth, Newcastle.

They had been married for more than 40 years and worshipped at the nearby Trinity Church Trinity is a commonly used name for Christian churches, especially within the Anglican and Russian Orthodox traditions.

In a statement, the couple's three daughters, Alison Atkinson, Celia Kellett and Rosie Hetherington, said last night: "We received reports from the Foreign Office during the early hours of this morning that our parents were among those killed in the coach crash in Jordan.

"Our parents have been a source of constant love, support and encouragement throughout our lives and at the moment it is too difficult to imagine a future without them.

"However, we don't want them to be remembered for their tragic death, but for the life that they lived.

"We have so many happy memories of laughter and fun that we shared as a family, right up until they left for Jordan.

"Although scattered by distance it has never stopped us being close, sharing every success, failure, triumph and tragedy with one another.

"As their children we were in no doubt that they were always there, listening and caring, if not in body, on the phone and in prayer.

"They were a true couple and we take comfort that they were together when they died.

"They were committed Christians and very involved in the Trinity Church on Gosforth High Gosforth High may refer to:

"Although they were very modest, we know that we will not be the only ones who will miss them.
