Datron Systems Announces Receipt of Orders for Radio Products in Excess of $2.5 Million.


ESCONDIDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 1998--Datron Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:DTSI DTSI Defense Trade Security Initiative

) today announced receipt of several orders for radio products totaling in excess of $2.5 million.

The orders for tactical HF (high frequency) and VHF (Very High Frequency) The range of electromagnetic frequencies from 30 MHz to 300 MHz.  (very high frequency) radios and for HF transceivers are from customers in Asia and Africa. Deliveries of these radio products are expected to be completed by the end of March 1999.

David A. Derby, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Datron Systems, commented, "These orders come from existing customers and comprise standard radio products we have sold for a number of years. More recently, we have begun to introduce newer radio products to expand our markets.
