Dateright[TM]; labelling for effective fresh food management. The Dateright[TM] labelling system is a quick, simple and efficient way for food processors, packers and caterers to keep track of fresh food use. Label designs are stored in the 'catalogue' memory of a portable Sato HT200e label printer. Users call up the required design and enter the number of labels needed with the printer automatically calculating critical factors such as 'ready-to-prep' and 'discard' dates. The system can be used to improve different food rotation and first-in, first-out fresh ingredient management systems and is a simple but effective way of reducing the risk of human error and freeing staff time for more productive use. As a handy visual aid, Dateright labels can be supplied part printed with seven different colour squares, one of each day of the week. "We see all sorts of 'make do' and DIY labelling in food outlets, but the consequences of getting it wrong, perhaps misreading a hand written date, can be catastrophic for a food business," commented Richard Scott of SATO's marketing team. "Dateright minimises this risk and helps the business save money by keeping waste down." The HT200e requires no PC to run it and the stand-alone system can be mains or battery powered. It has a tiny 9in x 5in footprint and can store thousands of different label designs. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] Contact SATO UK on tel 01255 240000 or visit www.sato-uk.com |
