Datawatch Corporation Files Suit Against Palms Technology U.S., Inc.


WILMINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 1998--Datawatch Corporation (NASDAQ NASDAQ

:DWCH) announced today that on November 12, 1998 it filed suit in Middlesex Superior Court against Palms Technology U.S., Inc., a Massachusetts corporation ("Palms"), and Jesse E. Torres, III, Palms' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In the lawsuit, Datawatch alleges that Palms and Mr. Torres committed multiple breaches of contract by, among other things, repeatedly failing to complete and deliver various software products that Palms was hired and paid by Datawatch to develop. On November 12, 1998, Datawatch moved for, and Judge Dianne Kottmyer of the Middlesex Superior Court, granted Datawatch:

--A Temporary Restraining Order temporary restraining order: see injunction. , directing Palms (1)suit against Palms and Mr. Torres and obtaining the court orders described above, Datawatch learned of Palms' lawsuit against Datawatch.
