BDS|Workflow is exceptional in that it can automatically initiate a new workflow based on receipt of a new document within the Datawatch|BDS archive. With the addition of this module, archived enterprise content is transformed into actionable information; empowering companies to more effectively manage and see their business processes to completion.

"Based on our users' real world workflow needs, Datawatch designed the BDS|Workflow module to initiate a workflow task automatically whenever a new document of a specified type is archived," said John Kitchen, chief marketing officer for Datawatch. "We see this as an important differentiator since it immediately archives and protects the initiating document and thereby enables stronger controls and accountability. With significant growth forecast for this market, we are confident that our workflow solution will strengthen our position as a leader in enterprise information management by helping companies turn documents into actionable information."

KEY FEATURES

* Automatic Initiation of New Workflows - Based on the receipt of a new document within the Datawatch/BDS archive, a new workflow is initiated and tasks are assigned to appropriate employees. This feature creates significant time savings, as many processes start with a document created by third parties, such as an invoice or a hand-written form. It also provides for improved document retention, stronger accountability and adherence to internal controls.

* Robust Management of Workflow Routes, Roles and Business Rules - BDS|Workflow allows administrators to easily define workflow routes, roles and business rules as well as the e-forms required for the desired workflow. BDS|Workflow also combines these elements with role-based dashboard views of workflow status, updates and outstanding tasks.

* Workflow Initiation and Tracking - Users have the ability to manually initiate workflow tasks; automatic routing and status tracking is performed according to business rules as specified by the administrator and are available via the BDS|Workflow dashboard. All e-forms and support documents related to each unique workflow task are retained in a "casebook A printed compilation of judicial decisions illustrating the application of particular principles of a specific field of law, such as torts, that is used in Legal Education to teach students under the Case Method system. " and archived once the workflow is complete.

* Automatic Exception-Based Workflows - Unlike other workflow solutions, BDS|Workflow offers the capability to identify and resolve business transactions or conditions that are outside of acceptable levels. This is achieved using Monarch Data Pump A circuit that transmits pulses in a digital device. It typically refers to the chipset in a modem that generates the bits based on the modem's modulation techniques. , Datawatch's server-based enterprise information delivery solution, which can unlock data from reports to identify business transactions which do not comply with internal controls as defined by the organization. This "exception data" creates a new workflow so that appropriate individuals are assigned tasks to resolve the issue. As a result, organizations benefit from a powerful tool that can help ensure the successful enforcement of internal policies and controls created for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act of 1996, Public Law 104-191) Also known as the "Kennedy-Kassebaum Act," this U.S. law protects employees' health insurance coverage when they change or lose their jobs (Title I) and provides standards for patient health,  and other regulatory requirements Regulatory requirements are part of the process of drug discovery and drug development.
