:DTXT) has named former Rhode Island Governor Bruce Sundlun to its board of directors, it was announced Wednesday by Sir Benjamin Slade, Bt, chairman of the board.

Sundlun joins the DTXT board of directors as director and vice chairman. Sundlun has long been active in civic, political and business affairs. He was elected governor of the state of Rhode Island in 1990 and reelected in 1992. In 1994, he was named to chair the New England Governors' Conference having previously held the post of vice chair. He was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1964, 1968, 1980, 1988 and 1992, and served as RI finance chairman for the Carter-Mondale Re-election Campaign in 1980.

A graduate of Williams College in 1946, he attended the U.S. Air Force Command and Staff School in 1948 and received his L.L.B. from Harvard Law school Harvard Law School (colloquially, Harvard Law or HLS) is one of the professional graduate schools of Harvard University. Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Harvard Law is considered one of the most prestigious law schools in the United States.  in 1949. Sundlun holds four honorary degrees. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Second World War, retiring as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 1980. He has been awarded with the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with cluster, Purple Heart, Legion d'Honneur (France) and the Prime Minister's Medal (Israel).
