Dataskill Announces Agreement to Acquire Silicon Space.


Transaction Will Broaden Company's Leadership in Virtual Information Technology Teams and Outsourced Application Development

As part of the transaction, all Silicon Space employees will join the newly combined entity, doubling the size of Dataskill's staff. Curt Nelson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Silicon Space, will also sit on Dataskill's Advisory Board.

Based in San Diego, CA, Silicon Space is a leading provider of outsourced software product development and design services. The company specializes in the development of web-based software solutions and application integration, leveraging its "Global Delivery Platform" which is based on a hybrid staffing model. This model leverages on-site account management while leveraging offshore and no-shore resources (from Mexico) to optimize development costs.

Silicon Space is an ideal complement to Dataskill's core business and focus on delivering back-end, data-centric solutions and services. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  and Oracle technologies. Customers will benefit from Silicon Space's deep expertise in Microsoft technologies and platforms, such as Microsoft.Net.
