Dataram introduces market's only 1GB upgrade for dell precision 450 and 650 workstations.


Dataram Corporation, a provider of server, workstation, and PC memory, announced recently the immediate availability of ECC (1) (Error-Correcting Code) A type of memory that corrects errors on the fly. See ECC memory.

(2) (Elliptic Curve Cryptography) A public key cryptography method that provides fast decryption and digital signature processing.
 (error-correcting code) protected memory for Dell Precision 450 and 650 Workstations.

This unique 1GB upgrade allows customers to double the maximum memory capacity of these workstations; an option not offered by Dell or other memory manufacturers at this time.

650/512 and DRL650/1024 respectively) consists of a single ECC DDR (Double Data Rate) Refers to an SDRAM memory chip that increases performance by doubling the effective data rate of the frontside bus. For more details, see SDRAM.

DDR - Double Data Rate Random Access Memory
266 DIMM (Dual In-Line Memory Module) A printed circuit board that holds memory chips and plugs into a DIMM socket on the motherboard. See memory module.

DIMM - Dual In-Line Memory Module
 that is 100% compatible with the Dell Precision 450 and 650 workstations and is backed by Dataram's lifetime warranty and free technical support.

The Precision 450 and 650 workstations feature dual Intel Xeon processors and support up to 4GB of Dataram memory. Each has four DIMM slots where memory must be installed in matched pairs.
