Dataram announces memory upgrade for Digital's personal workstations -a and -au series.


PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 23, 1997--Dataram Corporation, a leading provider of gigabyte memory upgrades for UNIX UNIX

Operating system for digital computers, developed by Ken Thompson of Bell Laboratories in 1969. It was initially designed for a single user (the name was a pun on the earlier operating system Multics).
 and Windows/NT workstations and servers, announces the immediate availability of a 64MB memory upgrade for Digital Equipment Corporation's Personal Workstation -a and -au series.

Announced May 5th by Digital, the new -au series offers high-performance 64-bit Alpha-based UNIX workstation power at PC pricing. Both the -a and -au series support up to 1.5GB of memory. 128 and 256MB upgrades are currently under development and are planned for June release.

433/64 list price is $813 and is fully compatible with Digital's MSP (1) (Management Service Provider or Managed Service Provider) An organization that manages a customer's computer systems and networks which are either located on the customer's premises or at a third-party datacenter. 01-HC. Dataram offers the new upgrade as a cost-effective alternative to purchasing memory from the system manufacturer. Dataram memory products are typically priced to be 50% lower than the system manufacturer.
