Dataram Offers Memory for Sun Microsystems Netra AX1105.Business Editors PRINCETON, NJ--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 2001 Dataram Corporation (NASDAQ NASDAQ in full National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations U.S. market for over-the-counter securities. Established in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), NASDAQ is an automated quotation system that reports on : DRAM), a leading provider of gigabyte-class memory for high-performance network servers, today announced the immediate availability of memory for Sun Microsystems' Netra AX1105-500. The Netra AX1105-500 is the newest addition to Sun's UltraSPARC board platforms. The board features a 500MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc. UltraSPARC IIe processor and supports up to 2GB of Dataram memory in capacities of 128MB, 256MB and 512MB. The slim physical design of the AX1105-500 board allows it to fit into a 1U (1.75-inch) form factor. Dataram has developed state-of-the-art, low-profile (1.00-inch high) memory modules specifically for the 1U application. With the memory slots on a 90-degree angle to the board, height is a critical factor. Airflow could be restricted with the use of taller modules. Dataram is also planning to offer lower-cost, higher-profile modules for 4U chassis applications where memory module height is not restricted. Dataram is offering two types of memory for the AX1105-500; registered and unbuffered. With the registered modules the board can support a memory speed of 100MHz, and with the unbuffered modules the board can support a memory speed of 83.3MHz. Both types feature 133MHz ECC-protection.
