Dataram Memory Increases Performance of HP Visualize X and P-Class Windows Workstations; Announcing Superior Memory Solutions and Superb Value in an Intel-Based Workstation.

Business/High-Tech Editors

PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 2000

Dataram Corporation (Nasdaq:DRAM) a leading provider of gigabyte-class memory for high-performance network servers, today announces immediate availability of memory products for HP's newest Visualize X and P-Class Windows NT and Windows 2000 Professional Workstations.

Incorporating powerful Intel Pentium(R) III processors with HP visualize memory architecture, the Visualize X and P-Class workstations offer optimal scalability solutions for demanding applications and complex designs. Ranked as top performers in providing superior performance, the P-Class allows up to 2GB of 133MHz SDRAM's while the next-generation X-class offers increased memory capacity with eight DIMM (Dual In-Line Memory Module) A printed circuit board that holds memory chips and plugs into a DIMM socket on the motherboard. See memory module.

slots that support up to 4GB of 133MHz SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) A type of dynamic RAM (DRAM) memory chip that has been widely used since the late 1990s. SDRAM chips eliminated wait states by dividing the chip into two cell blocks and interleaving data between them. .

Dataram is offering three capacities -- 256MB (DRHX733/256), 512MB (DRHX733/512) and 1GB (DRHX733/1024). Each product contains a pair of ECC (1) (Error-Correcting Code) A type of memory that corrects errors on the fly. See ECC memory.

(2) (Elliptic Curve Cryptography) A public key cryptography method that provides fast decryption and digital signature processing.
