702 memory upgrades are eight-board sets and are available in 256MB and 1GB capacities. They are 100% compatible with Sun's enterprise server line and are direct replacements for Sun's original X7022A and X7023A options. The 256MB DRS702/256 and 1GB DRS702/1024 upgrades have list prices of $1,178 and $4,770 respectively.

In March 1998, Dataram signed a licensing agreement with Sun Microsystems that allows Dataram to use Sun's patented memory module technology.
