Dataproducts Tones Up in the New Year; Dataproducts Introduces True 1200 DPI Replacement Toner Cartridges Compatible with Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4000 Printers.

SIMI VALLEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 1999--Wednesday Dataproducts Corp. -- Americas Imaging Supplies Division (AISD) introduced its newest cost-saving replacement toner cartridge for the Hewlett Packard LaserJet Series 4000 printers.

The cartridge (DpC part number 57800) is compatible with HP's C4127X toner cartridge offering comparable page yield and print quality.

Dataproducts' replacement toner cartridge is made from a combination of carefully screened and tested recaptured cores and new materials. This makes it good for the environment while offering excellent savings at a suggested list price 30% below the HP original. Like the original, the Dataproducts cartridge contains fine-particle toner providing true 1200 dpi resolution and a 10,000-page yield at 5% coverage. The Dataproducts AISD quality system is registered to the stringent global standard ISO 9001, ensuring consistent, high quality products.

First customer shipments of the replacement cartridge for the HP4000 are expected to start in January 1999.
