Datalink's sales and earnings for the most recent 12 months totaled $121.2 million. Earnings during the same period totaled $6.3 million. Return on capital totaled 51.5 percent over a three-year average; 1997, '98, and `99.

In a separate report from a leading technology trade publication, NetworkWorld, Datalink placed among the top 50 companies for revenue per employee. In 1999, Datalink's per-employee revenue totaled $880,719, placing the company at number two on the NetworkWorld list behind Apex PC Solutions and ahead of mega-corporations like Dell, Apple and Microsoft.
