ATLANTA -- Internap Network Services Corporation (AMEX: IIP), a leading provider of performance-based routing solutions over the Internet, today announced that Datagram, a New York-based network services company, leveraged the Internap(R) FlowControl Platform (FCP) to avoid Internet wide network outages and degradation that occurred during a temporary de-peering dispute between Internet Service Providers (ISP). Datagram avoided problems after deploying the FCP to optimize the performance of its mission-critical applications and was protected from potential productivity and revenue losses due to the de-peering impacts.

Datagram selected the FCP 500, which has a capacity rated up to 700Mbps and is designed for mid-sized application requirements, to reroute traffic in "real-time" to improve overall performance and ensure risk diversity. The FCP is the only premise-based appliance that analyses actual traffic then proactively changes network routes to optimize flows for customers with multiple ISPs.
