Datacard Group today announced the availability of the Datacard(R) 9000E card issuance system, at the CardTech/SecurTech 2004 Conference and Exhibition in Washington, D.C. The newest addition to its industry-leading family of high volume card issuance solutions, this sleek new system includes a Windows(R)-based operating environment, high-speed contact and contactless smart card A smart card that uses radio frequencies to provide a wireless connection to the reader. The transmission range is only a couple of inches, but allows the card to be quickly passed by a reader in applications such as secured entrances. Designed with flexibility and modularity in mind, the 9000E system can be configured with as many as 20 modules that utilize proven and reliable technologies. Ideal for government ID and other high volume card issuance programs, this versatile system meets the diverse needs of card issuers.

Customer demand for the 9000E system has been stronger than the company initially projected.
