Database Excelleration Systems Receives Notice of Allowance of Patent Claims from U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.


SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 1996--Database Excelleration Systems Inc. (DES), a leading provider of relational database intelligent storage subsystems and professional services for very high transaction and query-intensive client/server-based database applications, announced today that it has received a Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO USPTO

) for patent claims directed to the company's solid state disk subsystem.

The patent is expected to issue in the August/September 1996 timeframe. The law firm representing DES in this matter is San-Jose -based Skjerven, Morrill, MacPherson, Franklin & Friel. This patent will augment DES' existing portfolio of patents directed to solid state devices.

DES products combine solid state memory and advanced DES Direct Addressing(tm) firmware to greatly accelerate database application performance. The company also provides professional diagnostic and evaluation services to assist users in optimizing UNIX UNIX
