DataMeg Corp. Reiterates Relationship Between Cable Labs and CAS Communications, Inc.

DataMeg Corp. (OTCBB: DTMG) issued a statement today reiterating the relationship between their jointly owned subsidiary, CAS Communications, Inc. and Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (Cable Labs).

Founded in 1988 by members of the cable television industry, Cable Labs is a non-profit research and development consortium that is dedicated to pursuing new cable telecommunications technologies.

Mr. Andrew Benson, President DataMeg Corp. stated, "In our press release dated March 20, 2003 we announced that CAS Communications, Inc. had approached Cable Labs to initiate the process toward having our Multi-Phase Poly-Tone System (MPTC) obtain product certification through Cable Labs. The Company reiterates this statement and further states that we have scheduled technology and engineering discussions pending between CAS Communications, Inc. and Cable Labs engineering staff."

Mr. Benson continued, "There have been attempts to discredit the Company by persons using various public forums, implying that the information contained in our March 20 release is inaccurate. These attempts to infringe on DataMeg Corp's ability to conduct normal business and further attempts to slander the reputation of the Company are currently being reviewed by our corporate counsel and we will prosecute all infractions and the persons responsible to the full extent of the law."

The Company has stated that their relationship, as noted in the March 20 release, is at its beginning. The March 20 release does not represent, nor was it intended to represent, any endorsement of CAS Communications or DataMeg Corp; or their products, by Cable Labs.
