DataMEG Corp.(OTCBB:DTMG) subsidary, CAS Communications, Inc., clarifies recent announcement regarding a presumed agreeement signed with Operadora Protel SA de CS (Protel).

In order to insure that no confusion or misinterpretation exist regarding the nature of this transaction or the opportunities afforded by CASCO, the corporation clarifies the following:

-- CASCO has reiterated that an opportunity has been afforded,

with Protel's assistance, to commence a series of beta tests 

for CASCO's Multi Phase Poly Tone (MPTC) System in Mexico.

-- CASCO has stated that there are no definitive agreements at

this time for the purchase of the MPTC System by Protel, and

Protel is under no financial obligation to CASCO at this time.

-- CASCO stated that the successful completion of the beta field

tests of the MPTC System will increase the potential for CASCO

to realize a revenue-generating opportunity in this important

marketplace.
