is rapidly emerging as one of the most important strategic technologies of this decade and industry analysts believe this growth will carry into the next century. DataLink's New Platform -- Where the Web Meets Wireless

DataLink is the first company to fully integrate wireless communications delivery with the Internet, essentially producing a new product delivery platform. DataLink calls this new platform the Internet to Wireless Portal A Web site that supports a user with a smartphone or alphanumeric pager. It may offer a variety of features, including providing a springboard to other (WAP based) wireless sites, the ability to select content to be pushed to the user's device as well as providing a point of entry for . The platform integrates three modes of communication: the Internet, data feeds and wireless communications. The customer uses the intuitive Web site to customize their information delivery from major financial and news wires, and that information is sent to their wireless device in real-time. Customers can receive the information they want, when they want it, on their pager, PCS phone or PDA--so they can stay connected to the information that's important to them, anytime and anywhere.

"Our open platform can access wireless providers everywhere, making MessageX available to any PCS or alphanumeric pager customer. The MessageX sender and receiver both have the obvious benefit of rapid, reliable messaging," said LaPine. DataLink Services

DataLink's catalogue of services includes real-time financial information via QuoteXpress(TM), SplitXpress(TM), and CommodityXpress(TM) and the new sports and lifestyle products Sports2Go(TM) (see DataLink Unveils Sports2Go, Real-time Wireless Sports Coverage Via Pager or PCS Phone dated September 22, 1998) and InfoXtra(TM). All services are platform independent, meaning they will work with any PCS device, including pagers, telephones and PDAs. About DataLink
