Data swap: New York state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announced that Health Net Inc. has agreed to stop using data from Ingenix to set its insurance rates and instead will contribute $1.6 million toward the creation of a new data source.


DATA SWAP: New York state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announced that Health Net Inc. has agreed to stop using data from Ingenix to set its insurance rates and instead will contribute $1.6 million toward the creation of a new data source. Cuomo had alleged that insurers have used bogus data to set "out of network" rates and overcharge patients. Woodland Hills-based Health Net has about 200,000 members in New York state.
