Advnaced viscoelastic property measurement of elastomers is said to be easy with the ElectroForce Series and the company's DMC data analysis software. When coupled with special fixturing, such as environmental chambers and DMC grips, the ElectroForce test instrument becomes the ideal platform for dynamic mechanical characterization, according to the company. The WinTest digital PCI controller provides control for the ELF Series. The PCI Series electronics are said to be the latest version of the company's digital control hardware, featuring 32-bit function generation, 16-bit data acquisition and up to an 8 kHz update rate. This PC-based system features in intuitive interface and powerful test generation and data acquisition capabilities. WinTest's fliexible design enables the ElectroForce Series to perform a wide range of tests, including DMC and rheology, according to the company. An interactive, multi-level training CD assists new users in getting up to speed with the WinTest software control system. The DMC software allows the lab technician to define a series of test conditions that are automatically reproduced on the test system. The user can step through a series of conditions to explore changes in material or component properties with respect to any controlled parameter. The DMC data analysis software is said to make it easy to look at the requested and actual test conditions and the original channel data.
