Series Upgraded to New TI Chip In addition to the announcement of this new affordable version, Data Translation is announcing that its full line of DSP Fulcrum II Series boards have been upgraded to employ Texas Instruments latest version of the floating-point TMS320C6713 DSP chip. A software programmable DSP, this latest version of their powerful chip offers 300 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc. of floating point DSP processing for the most compute-intensive operations.
