Data General announces support for Oracle Universal Server; AViiON servers and CLARiiON storage arrays provide advanced hardware platforms for Oracle database technology.

) today announced that DG/UX and its AViiON family of servers supports Oracle's Oracle7 Release 7.3 and Oracle Universal Server Oracle's object-relational version of the Oracle7 DBMS. Object-relational databases store multimedia data as well as the traditional row and column tables of relational data. , announced here at the Oracle Developer Conference.
