Data General announces DataGenie III handheld computer; Product to be demonstrated at COMDEX.


WESTBORO, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1995--Data General Corp. today announced the newest addition to its line of handheld computers, the DataGenie III.

This new product adds laser bar code scanning to the DataGenie family of handheld computers known for its low-cost, light weight, rugged design and long battery life.

The DataGenie III, which includes new features such as an integrated laser scanner and a larger LCD display, will be demonstrated at Fall COMDEX The former, premier computer trade show in the U.S. Although it grew into an end user event, it was originally created for dealers and distributors (it was the COMputer Dealers EXposition).  in booth H137. Combined with a powerful processor, large memory and adherence to industry standards, the DataGenie III is the ideal handheld computer platform for client/server applications.
