At the recent CLARiiON Storage Area Network (SAN) press conference, Mr. Skates announced that over the next 18 months Data General plans to hire in excess of 450 people for its CLARiiON organization, the majority of whom will be direct sales people. The additional expense of these people, and related marketing efforts, is expected to be more than $100 million over that period.
