Data General's Atlanta Area-Based Educational Services Unit Designated Authorized Technical Education Center by Microsoft.WESTBORO, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 8, 1998-- Customer Support Center first to host both Microsoft ATEC ATEC Army Test and Evaluation Command (US Army; formerly OPTEC, Operational Test & Evaluation Command) ATEC Australian Tourism Export Council ATEC Advanced Technologies (Hamburg, Germany) and ASC ASC Ambulatory surgery center, see there designations Data General Corporation today announced that its Educational Services unit located at the company's Duluth, Georgia Duluth is a city in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and a suburb of Atlanta located in the Metro Atlanta area. Unincorporated portions of northeast Fulton County and Forsyth County also have Duluth as a mailing address, though this area is technically outside city limits. Customer Support Center has been selected by Microsoft to be an Authorized Technical Education Center (ATEC). With the selection, Data General has become the first company to have both a Microsoft Authorized Technical Education Center and a Microsoft Authorized Support Center (ASC) at the same location. The Customer Support Center was designated as an ASC last May. Data General's Corporate Educational Services organization, based in the Company's Westboro, Massachusetts headquarters, is also a Microsoft Authorized Technical Education Center, having been selected last year. With the ATEC designation, the Educational Services staff will be able to teach Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC MOC See Market on Close. ) courses, centered around the Microsoft Windows See Windows.
