Data Center Inc. (DCI), a leading national provider of community bank information processing, announced today that it has joined the Endpoint Exchange Network. Through an alliance with CheckClear LLC, the National Clearing House Association (NCHA) and the Central Oklahoma Clearing House Association (COCHA), DCI will now offer check image exchange through the Endpoint Exchange Network to their 150+ community banking customers from Vancouver, Wash. to Little Rock, Ark.

Membership in the Endpoint Exchange Network is an ideal fit for banking service bureau providers such as DCI. Many of DCI's community banking customers have remote branches. Currently, these branches are forced to begin processing and transporting their checks and cash letters at mid-day, to ensure that they don't miss a posting deadline. Any checks that arrive after mid-day are designated as "next day" items, resulting in a day of lost interest on deposits. Electronic check image exchange via the Endpoint Exchange Network would allow these remote branches to extend their presentment deadlines to accept items for "same day" processing much later in the day.
