Membership in the Endpoint Exchange Network is an ideal fit for banking service bureau providers such as DCI. Many of DCI's community banking customers have remote branches. Currently, these branches are forced to begin processing and transporting their checks and cash letters at mid-day, to ensure that they don't miss a posting deadline. Any checks that arrive after mid-day are designated as "next day" items, resulting in a day of lost interest on deposits. Electronic check image exchange via the Endpoint Exchange Network would allow these remote branches to extend their presentment presentment: see indictment.  deadlines to accept items for "same day" processing much later in the day.

The quicker turnaround will help DCI's customers identify fraudulent items sooner, which will increase their collection rates on returned checks. All of these increased check clearing and settlement efficiencies will have a very positive impact on our community banking clients."

Mark Craig, General Manager of CheckClear LLC, owner and operator of the Endpoint Exchange Network, added, "DCI is a first-rate banking technology company with a complete portfolio of advanced banking solutions and a great reputation for customer support and service. DCI's participation in our national network is significant because it provides our 2000+ Endpoint Exchange Network members the potential to link with more than 150 DCI clients -- extending our reach and making our national network even more efficient."
