Data 1, Inc. Announces Agreement in Principal to Acquire Eighty Percent of InfraLiner Systems, Inc. of Tampa, Florida.

SARASOTA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 1998--Data 1, Inc. (Nasdaq E.B.B. symbol "DMEM DMEM Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (for cell culture growth)
DMEM Design Manufacture and Engineering Management Department
") announced today that it has reached an agreement in principal to acquire eighty percent (80%) of InfraLiner Systems, Inc. of Tampa, Florida “Tampa” redirects here. For other uses, see Tampa (disambiguation).
Tampa is a United States city in Hillsborough County, on the west coast of Florida. It serves as the county seat for Hillsborough County.GR6.

InfraLiner Systems, Inc., ("ILS ILS

In currencies, this is the abbreviation for the Israeli Shekel.

The currency market, also known as the Foreign Exchange market, is the largest financial market in the world, with a daily average volume of over US $1 trillion.
"), is a Tampa based developer and manufacturer of patented products utilized in the rehabilitation rehabilitation: see physical therapy.  and construction of municipal infrastructure (water and sewerage sewerage, system for the removal and disposal of chiefly liquid wastes and of rainwater, which are collectively called sewage. The average person in the industrialized world produces between 60 and 140 gallons of sewage per day.  facilities, highways, bridges, ports and airports) and industrial facilities.

ILS has developed a proprietary acid and chemical resistant liner called "InfraLiner(tm)" (patent pending) which bonds to wet substrates including but not limited to concrete, brick, clay pipe, PVC PVC: see polyvinyl chloride.

pipe, steel, sand and other aggregates. InfraLiner(tm) utilizes proven polymer technologies to achieve acid resistance and enhanced strength. InfraLiner(tm) and its derivative products have applications in the rehabilitation and new construction of sewers, underground utilities, pipes, marine structures, bridges, tunnels, concrete and steel structures. Specific industries which can benefit from InfraLiner(tm) products include petroleum storage, phosphate, citrus processing, electric utility construction, chemical manufacturing, sewerage and water. Warthen was further quoted, "If a surface is subject to deterioration or leaks, InfraLiner(tm) will provide the most cost effective permanent solution to the problem".

Wake Warthen, Chief Executive Officer of ILS recently said, "While our societies collective intellect seems to be focused into cyberspace Coined by William Gibson in his 1984 novel "Neuromancer," it is a futuristic computer network that people use by plugging their minds into it! The term now refers to the Internet or to the online or digital world in general. See Internet and virtual reality. Contrast with meatspace.  where the information age is propelled by increasingly shorter successive generations of new technology, the infrastructure which supports our habitat is silently deteriorating. Maintenance and repair of existing infrastructure has been a low priority for municipal officials who are driven by the demands of population growth to focus on suburban expansion and the creation of new infrastructure. Unfortunately, the products and construction methods which produced the new infrastructure have changed little in the last 25 years, merely adding to the que of future rehabilitation work. The rehabilitation of our aging infrastructure is approaching a crisis stage requiring the expenditure of billions of dollars per year into the foreseeable future in order to maintain a safe and secure environment".

Industry experts support Warthen's view, estimating that the volume of rehabilitation work for non-conforming sewerage systems in the USA will exceed 12 billion dollars through the year ending 2005. ILS is positioned to undertake a leadership role in this multibillion dollar revitalization program.

The sewerage system rehabilitation products were first introduced in May of this year with projects for the City of Winter Garden followed by a project for Hernando County, Florida Hernando County is a county located in the U.S. state of Florida. As of 2000, the population was 130,802. The U.S. Census Bureau 2006 estimate for the county is 165,409 [1]. Its county seat is Brooksville, Florida6. . InfraLiner(tm) is applied "insitu" or in place and will allow cities to rehabilitate deteriorated sewerage systems from the home to the treatment facility without digging up the streets. ILS will introduce a number of other products to distinct vertical markets over the next 12 months including a patented system for the rehabilitation of flat roofs.

Utilizing recycled waste Fiberglas, the InfraCast Products are not only acid resistant but are much lighter and stronger than existing concrete products which facilitates the installation and useful life of the product. ILS expects to book $20mm in revenues during the next 12 months.
