Green was Gannett's Manager of the Year for 2001. Prior to joining WGRZ-TV as vice president/Broadcast in 1997, Green was vice president/general manager at WGCI-AM/FM, the Gannett owned radio station in Chicago, IL. He also served as vice president/station manager and vice president, controller and operation director of WGCI-AM. He began his career with Gannett in 1983 as a senior auditor.
