Darryl Inaba Appointed to President at Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Inc.


SAN FRANCISCO -- Dr. Darryl Inaba has been appointed to President at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics The Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Inc. are a free health care service provider serving more than 34,000 people in Northern California. The Clinics were established in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco, California during the counterculture of the 1960s. , Inc. Clinic founder Dr. David Smith will assume the duties of Vice President and continue his role as Medical Director and Chairman of the Medical Quality Assurance Committee.

In this new position, Dr. Inaba will focus on external affairs and fundraising. A preeminent expert in addiction and pharmacology, Dr. Inaba has worked at the Clinics since they opened in 1967. He served as Director of its substance abuse treatments activities for more than 30 years. Dr. Inaba served as the CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  for the past 3 years.

Dr. Inaba has written the definitive book on drugs and addiction: "Uppers, Downers, All Arounders." He is the author of hundreds of technical and scientific articles, and several dozen award-winning films and videos. A government advisor and popular speaker, Dr. Inaba has served on numerous boards and commissions and has earned more than 50 individual commendations, awards and honors.

After completing undergraduate work at California State University, Fresno The campus sits at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the San Joaquin Valley. Fresno County is the sixth largest metropolitan area in California.
