Danoli is dynamite.
Ireland's equine folk hero made most of the running and stormed clear of last year's Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Imperial Call after the second last before holding the brave effort of gallant veteran Jodami by a length and a half.
Imperial Call eventually finished 20 lengths adrift, but the crowd hardly noticed him as they rushed to the unsaddling enclosure to greet the winner.
"I'm thrilled for Tommy," said delighted winning trainer Tom Foley amid incredible scenes of celebration in the winners' enclosure.
"People blamed Tommy for Danoli's fall the other day but they were wrong and today proved that point. It was a great display by horse and rider."
Danoli is now likely to run in the Red Mills Trial Chase at Gowran Park in two week's time en route to Cheltenham.
Brave runner-up Jodami, bidding for a fourth win in this pounds 100,000 race, finished lame and looks likely to miss the rest of the season.
