Danka Printing System Solution Gives ADP Savings and Improved Productivity.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Automatic Data Processing's (ADP) Investor Communication Services division realized significant savings and increased productivity by employing a custom comprehensive document solution provided by Danka Business Systems PLC (NASDAQ:DANKY).

The new system was developed through a partnership between ADP and Danka, who worked together to understand and evaluate ADP's cut sheet production workflow issues at their Owings Mills, MD and Edgewood, NY sites. The comprehensive document solution created automated workflows to improve productivity, which resulted in production labor cost savings and enabled ADP to further improve quality.

Danka initiated the ADP relationship in 2005 with the development of an automated job routing and printer management software front-end. This solution was incorporated into the existing customized print job tracking tool that ADP had created. The software now enables the print shop to automate the submission of print jobs to their existing cut-sheet printers, automate the load balancing of those jobs, and provides the operator with real-time job status information from job submission through print and completion of the print process. Danka has now expanded the partnership with the installation of 15 Kodak Digimasters in ADP's Owings Mills, MD, Edgewood, NY and Peabody, MA locations.

The current ADP multi-year hardware and service contract with Danka covers 15 Kodak Digimasters, each with an average contractual value of $560,000. Danka and ADP will continue to explore additional areas where custom software, along with hardware installations, can improve ADP's productivity and cut costs, including driving volume to lower cost devices.
