Danka Makes Announcement Regarding Repayment of Outstanding 6.75% Convertible Subordinated Notes Due 2002.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 2002

Danka Business Systems PLC (Nasdaq:DANKY) announced that its 6.75% convertible subordinated notes due 2002 (the "6.75% Notes") mature on April 1, 2002 and that Danka plans to pay the outstanding principal amount of $15,988,000 of 6.75% Notes in full on maturity, together with the accrued interest Accrued Interest

The interest that has accumulated on a bond since the last interest payment up to but not including the settlement date.

There are two methods for calculating accrued interest:
1) 360-day year method, used for corporate and municipal bonds.
