Danish brewery workers protest beer drinking rules.


Some Danish brewery A brewery can be a building or place that produces beer, or a business (brewing company) whose trade is the production and sale of beer. Breweries can take up multiple city blocks, or be a collection of equipment in a homebrewer's kitchen.  workers have gone on strike to keep the right to sample beer while on the production floor. Workers at the Harboe brewery west of the Danish capital said they would stay on strike after new rules were imposed about where and when they could consume beer within the brewery.

The new rules would limit beer consumption to the brewery cafeteria cafeteria: see restaurant. , but workers want to retain the right to sample beer in the production and bottling departments.

More than 90 percent of the employees voted to continue the strike at a union meeting, press reports said.

The beer drinking restrictions were one component in ongoing labor negotiations. According to according to
