Danish KMD Leverages Integration Solutions from Quovadx to Automate Invoicing for Danish Government; Cloverleaf(R) Solution Processes Over 30,000 Invoices Per Day from More Than 700 Suppliers.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Quovadx, Inc. (Nasdaq: QVDX), a global software and vertical solutions company, today announced that long-term customer, KMD, Denmark's largest provider of technology to the public sector, will leverage the Cloverleaf(R) Integration Suite from Quovadx to facilitate the transfer of electronic invoices from hundreds of suppliers to the Danish federal government and local municipalities, saving the government valuable personnel and monetary resources.

KMD's value-added network (VAN), which is one of five VANs working with the government on Denmark's e-invoicing initiative, will give vendors an online "mailbox" where they can post invoices in need of payment. KMD, using Cloverleaf(R) Integration Services from Quovadx, will then convert the invoices into a standard XML-based file format required by the government (OIOXML) and transfer them to the appropriate Danish government organization. Currently, KMD processes 30,000 to 40,000 invoices per day from more than 750 suppliers in the country.

The Danish government required the use of electronic invoices for all public-sector institutions in Denmark as of February 1, 2005. By processing invoices electronically, the Danish government reaps a significant time and cost savings, in both personnel and supplies as compared to manual processing. To further increase efficiencies within the public sector, this initiative will be expanded in 2006 to require that public-sector organizations use only electronic purchase orders with private-sector vendors, based on the same OIOXML standards.
