 J. Danis has retired from the DPL Board of Directors for health and personal business reasons.

"Tom's valued counsel will be missed," said Ernie Green, Lead Director. "We thank him for his many contributions and wish Tom and his family all the best for the future."

"It has been my privilege and pleasure to serve on the DPL Board," said Mr. Danis.

Mr. Danis, who was Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee, will be succeeded in that role by Wallace W. Creek, who was elected to the DPL Board this year. Mr. Creek is a former controller of General Motors Corporation and is currently Senior Vice President -- Finance at Collins & Aikman Corporation.

Mr. Danis is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Danis Companies. Now a resident of Florida, he was active in the Dayton community and previously served on a number of other local boards, including the University of Dayton The University of Dayton is one of the ten largest Catholic schools in the United States and is the largest of the three Marianist universities in the nation. It is also home to one of the largest campus ministry programs in the world.  and the Dayton Business Committee.
