 and international sales and marketing, has been named president and chief executive officer of Energy Information Technologies Inc. (EIT EIT erythrocyte iron turnover. ), developer of advanced Internet-based metering solutions.

Dr. Sung Suh, EIT chairman, said in announcing the appointment that Witcher will bring a depth of business and international experience to spearhead EIT's drive to become a leader in the rapidly emerging field of Internet-based electric and gas metering and management.

Witcher most recently has been executive vice president and general manager of Efficient Solutions Inc., a Metairie, La.-based firm providing turnkey energy management services. At Efficient Solutions, Witcher managed a turnaround and reorganization for a network of 7,000 customers in 17,000 locations.

Prior to his position at Efficient Solutions, Witcher served as vice president, marketing and sales, and later vice president, international, for Energy Performance Services in Philadelphia, a firm that develops, implements and operates energy efficiency and supply projects world wide. Witcher assisted in the start-up of EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms.
