Daniel J. Rucci, 85.

WORCESTER Daniel J. Rucci, 85, of Worcester, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at home.

Daniel is survived by two brothers: Angelo and Domenic Rucci, both of Worcester; four sisters: Grace Janulavitch of Shrewsbury, Mary Clemente of Worcester, Frances Deras of Fiskdale, and Theresa Atkins of Albany NY and many nephews and nieces, several of which he was very close to. He was predeceased by four brothers: Anthony, Crestino, Mario, and George Rucci.

Daniel was born in Worcester, son of the late Domenic and Josephine (Tatera) Rucci and lived here all his life. He attended Worcester public schools, and was an Army Veteran of WWII WWII

 serving in the European African Middle Eastern Theatre. Daniel worked for the City of Worcester Parks Coordinates:  Worcester Park is a suburb of London, England and a ward in the extreme north west of the London Borough of Sutton. It is 10.2 miles (16.4 km) south west of Charing Cross. It has a population of 9,874 people.  Department for many years before he retired. Daniel was a kind, compassionate, and gentle man with a heart of gold who enjoyed country music, being around his family and enjoyed home cooked meals with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans The Disabled American Veterans, or DAV, is an organization for disabled veterans that helps them and their families through various means. It currently has over 1.2 million members.

The DAV was controversial during the 2006 election cycle.

 will be held at 10:30AM today (Friday) in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. There are no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery. In lieu of Instead of; in place of; in substitution of. It does not mean in addition to.  flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
