Daniel C. Maguire to Oversee A.C. Moore Store Operations.

BERLIN, N.J. -- A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts, Inc. (Nasdaq:ACMR) today announced that Daniel C. Maguire will be responsible for store operations.

Mr. Maguire joined A.C. Moore in December 2006 as Vice President of Store Planning and Visual Presentation. Effective March 1, 2007, his new title will be Vice President of Store Operations. In this capacity, Mr. Maguire will oversee operations for all 122 store locations within the chain. He will also continue to be responsible for store planning and visual presentation.

Rick A. Lepley, Chief Executive Officer, stated, "The change in Dan's title is reflective of his wider tactical involvement with our District Managers and our stores. We are benefiting from Dan's knowledge and skills in operations and we are pleased that he has agreed to take on this new role in addition to the more strategic functions of store planning and visual merchandising."

Prior to joining A.C. Moore, Mr. Maguire served as the Chief Store Development Officer of DOTS LLC, a retailer of women's fashions. Mr. Maguire previously served for nine years in various senior management positions with Jo-Ann Stores, Inc., the fabric and craft retailer, most recently as Vice President, Store Transformation and Planning. In addition to Jo-Ann Stores, Mr. Maguire was also the Vice President of Store Planning for Hechinger's, a home improvement retail chain, and Director of Store Planning for Ames Department Stores.
