Daniel C. Lubin and Dr. Cary A. Shapoff Elected to Board of Directors of Bio-Lok International; Hollander, Kozak, Smith and Weisman are Re-elected.

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- Bio-Lok International Inc. (OTCBB:BLLI), the worldwide manufacturer and distributor of leading-edge dental implants and implant technology, has elected Daniel C. Lubin and Cary A. Shapoff, DDS to its Board of Directors, the company announced today. It was also announced that Bruce L. Hollander, Ingo K. Kozak, Neil H. Smith, and Harold Weisman, Esq. were re-elected to the Board.

Daniel C. Lubin, 45, is a Managing Partner of Radius Ventures, LLC, a lead investor in Bio-Lok International. Previously, he was a director in the investment banking division of Schroder Wertheim & Co., where he shared responsibility for managing the firm's health care group. Lubin served as president and COO of KBL Healthcare Acquisition Corp., a publicly traded strategic acquisition fund. Lubin received his B.S. from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and his M.B.A.from Harvard Business School.

Cary A. Shapoff, DDS, 58, has been in the private practice of periodontics since 1977. He was recently elected as a Director of the American Board of Periodontology. In addition, Dr. Shapoff is a Fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy International Honor Dental Society and is a Fellow in the International College of Dentists. He is a member of the Department of Periodontology's Courtesy Clinical Faculty at the University of Florida's College of Dentistry. Dr. Shapoff is a frequent lecturer on dental implants and periodontal topics and author, including his book Implant Dentistry and Periodontal Forms (1993). He is a graduate of the University of Maryland's periodontal residency program and became a Diplomate of American Board of Periodontology in 1981.
