Daniel A. Shantz Named Vice President, Sales for Performance Chemicals and Elastomers.

MIDDLEBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 2000

Uniroyal Chemical, a Crompton business, has named Daniel A. Shantz vice president of sales for its Performance Chemicals and Elastomers business. In this capacity, he will be responsible for North American sales management of Rubber Chemicals, Royalene(R) EPDM, Paracril(R) NBR, and worldwide sales to global tire accounts.

Dan began his career with Uniroyal Chemical in 1963 as a production engineer in Naugatuck, Connecticut, and progressed through a number of technical and managerial assignments in research and development, manufacturing, purchasing, and marketing. He was named business director for Royalene(R) EPDM in 1991. Most recently, Dan was director of sales for North America and director of global tire accounts for the Performance Chemicals and Elastomers group.

Dan received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from New York University and is a member of the American Chemical Society's Rubber Division, and Philadelphia and Southern Rubber Groups.
