Dangerous musings.

I would have never heard about Dangerous Muse if not for The Advocate ["Rhythm and Muse," April 25]. They're great! I don't generally listen to their type of music, but when I beam them I was excited to find more music by them. I can honestly say that the main reason I tried to find more about them was because I think they are gorgeous guys, and the pictures included in the article were totally drool-worthy.

The band members of Dangerous Muse caught my eye with their boyish charm and good looks, but when I checked them out I came to find that these guys really know music and how to produce it. Their electronic beats make anyone wanna get up and dance, gay or straight. Isn't that what we need in today's society? I think so.

I love Dangerous Muse's music and was excited to see them on your cover, but I was a little confused by the article. The headline proclaims, "Dangerous Muse leads a new wave of out musicians," yet the band's duo of Mike Furey and Tom Napack is quoted as saying, "There's no such thing as 'out' anymore." Huh? Sounds more like a cop-out than "out."

I was also surprised to see that the article never mentioned MySpace, where most of us discovered Dangerous Muse. Give credit where credit is due: MySpace is the place to find new music, especially now, when radio sucks more than ever.
