Dangerfield sets record time; CYCLING.BRITISH record holder Stuart Dangerfield carried off the Acara Cup for the fifth time in eight years with victory in a new course best in Rugby RCC's open 10-mile time trial. Harris improved to 20-24 in wet conditions for Saturday's 10-mile event before clocking 53-57 in the following morning's '25'. ORGANISING team MI Racing-Thule took the lion's share of the major awards in the Crowhurst /Gale (Rugby) Grand Prix veterans road races at Napton. The 69-mile Ken Smith Memorial Trophy race was won in convincing style by MI Racing's Paul Stubbs, who was in all the moves until blasting everyone off his wheel on the mile-long climb to the finish . Brian Davison finished second in the over-50s race for the Brian Patrick Memorial Trophy with Dunchurch's Martin Hackley fourth over-55.
