The Dandys' fourth full-length release if nothing else confirms how firmly their roots are imbedded in the Velvet Underground, peeling the cover to The Velvet Underground and Nico, and with the assistance of ace producer Nick Rhodes Nick Rhodes (born Nicholas James Bates in Moseley, West Midlands, England, June 8, 1962) is the keyboardist for Duran Duran. Rhodes and singer Simon Le Bon are the only members to have been with the band throughout its 27-year professional career (beginning in 1980).  slimming their heavily techno-ized sound down to inner banana essentials. Monkey House roams the post-No Age landscape with hypnotic dance numbers like "Wonderful You"; plays on anthemic Britpop with a gentle swipe at Thorn "Kid A" Yorke, "There must be some kind of message/Simple but somehow impressive/Anyone who can think of something/Come on now just express it/All of us sing about it" ("Plan A"); or a satirical response to Thomas Dolby Thomas Dolby (born Thomas Morgan Robertson, on 14 October 1958) is an English musician, producer, and inventor.
