Dancin' on the railroad.As an advocate of rail transit and how it impacts the urban environment, I would like to comment on the article "Trolley trolley: see streetcar. Dancing," on page 66 in the October 2003 issue. As much as I like to see a new light rail or streetcar streetcar, small, self-propelled railroad car, similar to the type used in rapid-transit systems, that operates on tracks running through city streets and is used to carry passengers. line celebrated (see photo right), I have reservations about the safety of the performers and the convenience of the riders. The rail environment is very unforgiving of errors of judgement. Railroads and rail transit operations run trains to serve passengers and freight clients. They are not kinetic kinetic /ki·net·ic/ (ki-net´ik) pertaining to or producing motion. ki·net·ic adj. Of, relating to, or produced by motion. kinetic pertaining to or producing motion. works of art, and their tracks and properties are not artistic backgrounds or theatrical props.
