Dancers enthral visitors at Salalah fest.

SALALAH Eoe1/4" Salalah might be matching steps with the changing times, but it has managed to hold on to its rich folklore folklore, the body of customs, legends, beliefs, and superstitions passed on by oral tradition. It includes folk dances, folk songs, folk medicine (the use of magical charms and herbs), and folktales (myths, rhymes, and proverbs).  and traditions.

This is the message that comes across at the Khareef Salalah Festival, under way at the Municipality MUNICIPALITY. The body of officers, taken collectively, belonging to a city, who are appointed to manage its affairs and defend its interests.  Recreational Centre, where traditional bands are showcasing Dhofari dances for wide-eyed tourists and visitors. The Dhofar governorate nurtures as many as 10 varied dance forms reflecting the legacy and culture of the Sultanate of Oman and its wilayats. However, not all the forms are practiced as widely. The traditional bands from Salalah and the different wilayats of Dhofar governorate that are participating in the festival do realise the importance of innovation.

Accordingly, some of these bands are trying to add their own artistic touches, keeping in mind the authenticity of the dances. Every year, these troupes try and present the best of folk dances folk dance, primitive, tribal, or ethnic form of the dance, sometimes the survival of some ancient ceremony or festival. The term is used also to include characteristic national dances, country dances, and figure dances in costume to folk tunes.  to tourists. Al sharah, Al rabouba, raqs Al zanuj, Al madar, Al shobania, Al barEoe1/4aoaa , Al habout and Al tabal (dance of women) are some of the dance forms being showcased at the cultural gala.
